Taylor Swift is Taylor Alison Swift. Taylor Swift was born on December 13, 1989 in Pennsylvania's West Reading. Swift has been a popular singer-songwriter and pop artist for over 20 years. Swift's stories of young love and heartbreak has earned her the acclaim of many during the 21st Century. Swift loved music at an early time. Swift swiftly rose through the ranks, starting as a child actor as well as singing before an audience of thousands. At the age of 11, she performed The Star-Spangled Banner before a Philadelphia 76ers basketball game. in the next year she began playing guitar and began to write songs. Swift took inspiration from artists from the country genre, such as Shania Twain, the Dixie Chicks and, more recently, the Chicks in order to write original music which reflected the alienation she felt when she was of 13. In the year 13 Swift's parents decided to sell their property in Pennsylvania for a move into Hendersonville Tennessee so she could dedicate more time pursuing country music labels located in the nearby city of Nashville.
